Requirements for EU and EFTA Citizens

Citizens of EU and EFTA countries must meet the following criteria to become an au pair in Austria:
  • Aged between 18 and 27 years old.

  • Interest in improving German language skills and learning about Austrian culture.

  • Basic knowledge of German, with a desire to enhance it.

  • Unmarried and without children.

  • Able to cover travel expenses to Austria.

Requirements for Citizens of All Other Countries

Citizens of countries outside the EU and EFTA must meet these criteria to become an au pair in Austria:
  • Aged between 18 and 27 years old.
