Requirements for Au Pairs

Host families in the United Kingdom must meet the following criteria:
  • At least one child under 18 living in the household.

  • Provide a separate room for the au pair.

  • Expect the au pair to help with childcare and light housework.

  • Speak English in daily life.

  • The host family and the au pair must have different nationalities.
